Currently: Back to School Edition (August)

I wanted to take the time to do Oh' Boy 4th Grade's Currently Linky Party. It looked like a lot of fun and since tomorrow is Back to School for me and all of my students, i figured it would be nice to document the things I am doing and thinking.

B2S Must Haves

  1. A Cricut- I love my Cricut so much. It's an electronic die cutting machine that will save you soooo much time when wanting to cut things out for bulletin boards. I also use it to make things for my little darlings.
  2. A thoughtfully planned out classroom- I can't stress this enough. You want to make sure that everything had a place before school starts. Once the craziness of the school year happens, you won't have time to organize things. If it already had a place, all you have to do it maintain.

  4. Hi Jennifer! We found your blog through Farley's Linky Party! I love music and always have a song in my head. Although I can't sing and wish I could (jealous of your husband lol). That is so exciting that he has recorded his first song! I do not go back until next week, but attended a Summer Academy (district staff development) last week and am working with my new principals this week. So it feels like I am already back. I love the world of teaching but love breaks also.

Glad we found your blog! Good luck with your school year and blogging! :)

    1. I wish I could sing as well. My husband sings all the time and I NEVER sing. He's never heard me sing in his life. If someone were to catch me singing, I'd be mortified!! I only sing in the car or when I'm home alone.

  5. Yay! I love new bloggers!! :) I'm a new follower! I don't have a cricut but I know a lot of people who love them. Where do you even get them from?! I am so clueless about that stuff.

I hope you'll come follow me as well so we can share ideas. Yippie!!

    1. You can get Cricuts from a ton of places including Joanns, Michaels, and even Amazon. I also have a crafting blog www.jennuinecrafts.com and I do crafting videos too. I love the fact that I can incorporate my love of crafting with teaching.

  6. Wow, I can't believe you are back at school. We only have a couple more weeks and I feel like the summer has FLOWN by. Our classroom doesn't have any air conditioning. So I can't imagine being back right now. I love my cricuit. I agree they're great for classrooms.
