Erin Condren Teacher Planner

I love organizing and planning so when I found out Erin Condren had a teacher planner, I HAD to get it. I am a planner girl for sure and the struggle is real! I love anything colorful and organized. This planner meets both of those requirements and so much more!

First of all, let's just look at this cover. Isn't it amazing? Not only does it have two of my favorite colors, but the message on the front is the perfect thing to read on a daily basis, especially when you're having... one of those days. It is also removable, so if you like to switch up your planners, all you have to do is order a new cover. You can even custom make your own cover!!

If you are an Erin Condren life planner user, you will know how great of a planner this really is. The teacher planner has the same exact quality of the life planner. Only it is 8 1/2" x 11". I was surprised when I first received it, but it is so handy to have it in a larger size.

There are many different sections in this planner and I am going to show you just a few of them. To view the ENTIRE planner, make sure to check out my video towards the end of this post. This year at a glance page is perfect for long range planning and organizing your themes and units.

Another big difference from the life planner, are the calendars. The calendars are all tabbed, but they are next to each other with a note section between each month. This is the perfect place to take notes from staff meetings, parent conferences, lesson ideas, etc.

Now for the exciting part... the lesson plan section! I'm going to be honest with you all here. Remember when I told you that the struggle was real? Well, it's true. I turn in my lesson plans online weekly. I have NO NEED for a physical lesson planner, but just look at it!! It's so gorgeous!! I plan on making weekly or monthly (not sure yet) plan with me videos and posts on how I plan each week. Something even more exciting is that I have an Etsy sticker store where I make planner stickers. I just opened... TODAY, but will be closing on Friday July 3rd so I can prepare for the TpT conference in Vegas. I will be having a grand opening July 20th and I will be including... wait for it... TEACHER PLANNER STICKERS!! If you are in the planner community, you know that there are not a lot of planner stickers out there for us teachers. If you have any requests just let me know in the comments below.

**On a side note- If you are interested in purchasing planner stickers or are just interested you can visit my Etsy shop Jenuine Crafts Co. If you want to stay updated you can visit my FB page.
Erin Condren did include very practical stickers for us though in a variety of colors.

It also includes blank stickers that you can customize to meet your needs.

Something that I love is the keep it together folder. It is double sided and fits 8 1/2" x 11" paper perfectly. So many times I get a handout from a meeting or in my mailbox that I just throw on my desk when I get into my classroom. This allows me to file it away in a place I won't loose it. Then when it's time to put it in the correct place, I know where it is.

In the back there is a page protector. It is really sturdy. In the front I have my school calendar and once the school year starts I am going to put my class list with phone numbers and addresses because I am always looking them up online!

The back has a little pocket with some freebies. I'm excited for this pocket. Remember that Etsy shop of mine I mentioned earlier? Well, my stickers will fit in there perfectly. That way you will always have them on hand! I also purchased a separate pen loop which is essential since I am always misplacing my pens.

Speaking of pens, how cute are these? They are from Pen Gems and are by far my favorite pens, aside from flairs and Staedtlers.

If you want to know even MORE about the Erin Condren Teacher planner, I have a video where I show you every page.

Have you fallen in love yet?If you are interested in ordering one for yourself, here is my referral code that will give you $10 off your first order.

**At the time of this post (June 30th), the teacher planner is out of stock, but not for long. They will be relaunching soon. Make sure to follow me on Instagram and I will notify you when they go live!

AZ Blogger Meetup

I know a lot of us are counting down the days until the TpT conference in Vegas, but here in Arizona we had a little get together of our own. We decided to meet up last week for some food and fun or should I say Brunch and Bubbly!

I have to say that being away from the blogging world and TpT for almost two years was a much needed break with life taking over, but I missed it so much. Now that things have settled down I am able to get back into it. I am so fortunate to have a great group of blogging teachers to learn from and connect with.

As you can see we had a lot of fun! Oh an we had the BEST sponsors who were kind enough to donate prizes for giveaways and a cool swag bag.

Isn't that swag bag AMAZING!! What's even more amazing is the fact that you can win your very own swag bag. Yes that's right! We are giving away 3 of these bags to our wonderful followers. To enter the giveaway all you have to do is enter the Rafflecopter. The more people you follow, the more chances there are to win. Good luck!!

3-2-1 Teacher Bio {Weekend Warriors}

I am linking up with Weekend Warriors to let you know a little bit about myself. I love getting to know other teachers and thought this would be a fun way to do it.

1. I love being a teacher and I have wanted to be one every since I was a little girl. I even turned my closet into a classroom and taught my sister and gave her homework to do. Even when she was done playing with me I would continue to play teacher by myself and my Barbies. If you peak into my classroom I am always with my students. I am either sitting on the floor with them reading a story, sitting at their tables during math time, and even dancing during Go Noodle with them. I love my job and being able to be a kid at heart 7 hours a day is pretty awesome!!

2.  I absolutely love center time. I love making and creating fun and engaging centers for my students and this year I am even going to add an additional math center time. This is a time where my students get to unwind a little, have some fun, all while still learning. My favorite part about this time is working with individual students and small groups. I feel like this is when I do my best teaching. I get to know my students on a more personal level as well as adjust my instruction to meet their needs. It's also amazing to see my shy ones come out of their shells during small groups.

3. I have taught second grade for 6 years and I am starting my 2nd year in kindergarten. I loved second grade, but kindergarten is a completely different experience. There is nothing like it in any grade, it is a special time and place to be. I feel so fortunate to be the teacher to my 5 year olds... FIVE!! How crazy is that? I always knew that one day I would teach kindergarten because when I was in kindergarten myself, I fell in love with school and the idea of being a teacher.

 1. I love music. I cannot express how much I love it. I started playing piano when I was 11 years old and I was in band throughout high school and was even drum major my junior and senior year. I almost went to school to major is music so I could teach music, but elementary kept calling my name. Even though my sister is now a music teacher ;-) I have to listen to music wherever I am. My Spotify is the most random mix of songs you've ever heard. Some of my favorites are Panic at the Disco, The Beatles, Selena, Celine Dion, Simon and Garfunkel, 80s, Journey... I could go on forever.

1. One day my husband and I are going to move to California, even if it's just a year. It may be when I retire or we may even just take a year off before then to move to California. I love Disneyland and I would give anything to be an annual pass holder and be able to go every week. An even bigger dream would being able to work there, even if I was just serving churros. ;-)

I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better. If you do this same post, please leave a link to your blog in the comments below so I can get to know you better!!

Five for Friday

I must say that my favorite link up to do every week was Doodle Bugs Teaching Five for Friday. It always gave me time to reflect on the week. So know that I am picking up on my blogging again, I figured what better way to start than with this weekly link up!

1. June 9th was a very special day. Not only was it my sister's 27th birthday, it was also the launch of the new Erin Condren line!! Every June she releases her new life planners and I knew I HAD to order!! I ordered a 12 month rose gold vertical planner and an 18 month horizontal planner. Unfortunately, my rose gold planner didn't get shipped with my order, but it is now on it's way. :-) I do however have my new horizontal planner! I am so torn as to which layout to use... any thoughts?

2. I signed up for the TpT Conference in Vegas!! It was kind of a last minute thing... kind of. My BFF and I wanted to go last year and we decided not to. We both regretted it. When it came around this time I didn't really feel like I was "good enough" to go. I had taken the year off from blogging and hadn't made a TpT product in over a year. I felt like I was barely getting my balance in this new grade new world of kindergarten. Also, it happened to overlap future vacation plans. Well needless to say, everything worked out and I am going. I am most excited to learn from the sessions and get a kick-start on relaunching everything. I am also REALLY excited about the GoNoodle meetup. I think I love GoNoodle more than my students, and they are obsessed. I'm going to Pop-See-Ko with the best of them and not be ashamed!

3. Of course to get ready for Vegas I had to make some swag. Yes, I just said swag... Anyways, I knew I had to make some business cards and a cute button to wear! Of course I got suckered into VistaPrint and ordered a tote bag and a pen, but those will be useful right? ;-)

4. Since I've been getting back into blogging, I've also set aside some time to create my first file in a while. I have a lot to learn and work on, but I am really happy with the way it turned out. It's over 180 tracing cards for beginning writers. When I first taught kindergarten (last year) I didn't realize how little students knew. They didn't even know how to hold a pencil. I literally had to teach them the basics. Before I taught kindergarten I always knew that, but somehow wasn't prepared. Well this year I am more prepared. I made these tracing cards to help reinforce proper letter formation, number formation, and for my little more advanced students, sight word practice. You can use these so many different ways, but I plan on using them in a center.  If you are interested in using these in your classroom, you can find them HERE.

5. Last, but not least is probably the most exciting thing to happen to me in... FOREVER!! I was watching TV last night and my friend sent me a text with this picture...

I couldn't believe it. I was on the front page of TpT. Now I know it's all pretty random, but I ran to my iPad and loaded the TpT site only to find it was already gone. Well I refreshed the page and BAM there is was again! I was so excited that I had to take a screen shot of it too! Like I said, I know it's pretty random, but it made me excited because it just gave me hope for the future of my blog, my TpT journey, and collaborating with other teachers. I missed being part of this community and this year will be the beginning of something great.

Now that I've recapped my week with you, I hope you head on over to Doodle Bugs Teaching and link up to. If you do, please leave your link in the comments below so I can check it out.

Also, for a way for us to get to know each other a little better, leave a comment below telling me what grade you currently teach. Until next time... HAPPY TEACHING!!

I'm Back!?

Hello blogging world, I'm back. I used to be really active in the blogging world when I ran Darling Little Learners. I have since then moved schools, switched grade levels, and renamed/rebranded my blog and everything else related to it. Everything you see from me will now be Jennuine Teaching. I feel like this names suits me better and I am feeling refreshed and ready to get going again.

This year I posted a few things that went on in kindergarten, but I wasn't very active with keeping it up. Even though I have been teaching for 7 years already, starting a new grade level is always difficult. I am glad that I have my first year of kindergarten under my belt and I am excited to start another year.

I plan on blogging more as well as instagraming (new word) and making products to share with you all on TPT. My newest one is a product that I will be using with my kindergarten students this upcoming school year. Make sure to check back on Monday so you can see a detailed blog post all about it.

I'm actually having a giveaway over on my Facebook page. If you would like to enter to win this file, make sure to head on over.
