Team Member Gifts

Happy Monday! Today is my last day of summer vacation. I have meetings this week, but I am going in today to have a team meeting with my wonderful kindergarten team. This year I am team lead and I wanted to share my appreciation with some beginning of the year gifts.

Teaching all day can be tiring and at the end of the day it's not unusual for some of us to forget to drink water. I have two HUGE water cups that I bring to work every day, but it never hurts to have more. I added vinyl to these mason jar cups for my team mates. Hopefully we will all stay hydrated this school year.

The next part of their gift are some goodies from my favorite place... Target!! I just packaged up some of my favorite dollar spot finds and closed it up with some washi tape.

This past week I went into my classroom and set everything up. I wanted to be able to relax this week and focus on lesson planning this week. I have been creating custom stickers for my Erin Condren lesson planner and I have fallen in love! I am making more stickers that are specifically for teachers and I will be releasing them later this week. If you want to see them for yourself, you can visit my Etsy store HERE.

I am linking up with Tara for Monday Made It. If you have made anything this week, feel free to link up as well.

  1. Those stickers look amazing! You are making me want to get an Erin Condren Teacher Planner! Those mason jars are such a thoughtful gift. We tend to forget to do important things like drink water throughout the day. These personalized gifts are perfect :-) I love working with vinyl!

  3. I am going into my room this week to set up so I can focus on planning. I don't have an Erin Condren, but I do have a planner and I love stickers! I will have to check them out. You are sweet to make something for your teammates. Now I'm thinking I need to do something for mine too!

    1. I love the fact that stickers can be used in any planner. You can even use stickers in a notebook to help you plan. Who knew that I would have fallen in love with stickers so much!

  4. I have an Erin Condren planner and would love some stickers that have subjects and times. Yours look awesome! Would you mind emailing me when you have them ready in your store? janiefahey@gmail.com I want to get a few little gifts together for my team, too. I am hoping to get that done next week since we go back for meetings and pd Aug. 10th.

    1. Absolutely! I am also thinking of adding editable versions in my TpT store for teachers. Due to clip art terms of use, I have to sell physical copies, but since those are completely designed by me, I will be able to have some digital stickers available too.

    1. I used my Cricut to cut the vinyl and it cuts it perfectly. I can make a tutorial sometime this week on how I made the mason jars so you can see how the Cricut works.

    1. Thanks! It is my first year as team lead and only my second year at the school. I am the youngest one on my team so I just wanted to get the year off to a good start. They were a hit!

  8. What a cute and simple gift idea! I love that Mason jar idea! I really need a Silhouette in my life. I'm still using a Cricut...and, it's an old one at that. Ha! Your planner stickers came out great! Happy planning!

    1. I was looking all over for cups or jars to buy. Then I remembered I already had the mason jar mugs at home. All I had to do was buy the drink top, straw, and top. Everything else I already had. I have both the Cricut and Silhouette. I used the Cricut for my vinyl and my Silhouette for my stickers.

  9. I love the style of those stickers! I'm just in love with the cursive font on black!

I'm also working on teammate presents but it will probably be a month or so before I post them-- have to give them away first!

    1. Thank you! It's so much easier being able to stick a sticker on instead of writing the subjects every week.

Magic Answer (Flip Chute)

Don't we all just love Pinterest? I know I do! I have been wanting to implement math centers into my routine this year and I slowly want to teach my students games that can one day be part of their math centers. I am currently working on a math fluency "program" (future post) and I knew that I wanted math facts to be a big part of my math centers. I saw this flip chute on pinterest and I thought it was perfect. I went ahead and made one of my own. It was actually pretty easy. There is a video on Classroom DIY, but I decided to do a more step-by-step video. You can see that video here. I also  made a template in word that you can go ahead and type your questions and answers into. Click the photo to visit my TPT where you can download the template for free.

3-2-1 Teacher Bio {Weekend Warriors}

I am linking up with Weekend Warriors to let you know a little bit about myself. I love getting to know other teachers and thought this would be a fun way to do it.   1. I love being a teacher and I have wanted to be one every since I was a little girl. I even turned my closet into a classroom and taught my sister and gave her homework to do. Even when she was done playing with me I would continue to play teacher by myself and my Barbies. If you peak into my classroom I am always with my students. I am either sitting on the floor with them reading a story, sitting at their tables during math time, and even dancing during Go Noodle with them. I love my job and being able to be a kid at heart 7 hours a day is pretty awesome!! 2.  I absolutely love center time. I love making and creating fun and engaging centers for my students and this year I am even going to add an additional math center time. This is a time where my students get to unwind a little, have some fun, ...

Show and Tell Wednesday

I'm excited to announce that I am starting a new link up. It is called Show and Tell Wednesday. Every Wednesday I will be hosting a linky party. This is a place where you can share anything you would like. All you have to do is write a blog post about something you would like to share and tell us about it. It can be something from your TPT store, an activity that you did in your class, or anything else school/teaching related. I always love learning new things from fellow teachers and I'm always searching for new ideas. Here are a few rules for the link up. Become a follower of my blog. This is not necessary, but occasionally I will be doing giveaways and in order to be considered for the giveaway, you must be a follower. Also, you don't want to miss anything in the future! :-) Add the Show and Tell button on your blog post that you link up. Visit the person before your link and leave them some thoughtful feedback. Have fun!!!!  Here is my show and tell for the week. School...
